“Aadu Kalam” is a Tamil language film set to be released in 2009. It stars Dhanush and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles. The film is currently in its production stage.

The film was previously christened as “Seval”, however was replaced after finding out that another film directed by Hari and starring Bharath had registered the title. Early indications suggest that the film could be based upon a true story which occurred in Madurai in the 1970s.

Following the success of Polladhavan, the entire team barring the heroine decided to come together for the second time. Despite early indications that Nayantara would be playing the heroine, Shriya Saran was roped into portray the lead female role, her second project with Dhanush, following “Thiruvilayadal Arambam“.

Shriya was ousted from the project soon after due to the delay and Trisha Krishnan was signed up to play the lead role.
